Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great first official week of spring. Since our last newsletter, Salesforce pulled off a massive acquisition of Mulesoft - an API and software integration company HQed in San Francisco. The final price tag is reported to be $6.5 billion. Salesforce plans to bake Mulesoft into their offering to beef up their digital personalization play. By making it easier for customers to integrate their tools, Salesforce believes their customers will be able to "drive deep and intelligent customer experiences throughout a personalized 1:1 journey". At first glance, analysts seem to approve of the acquisition and view it as a natural fit to Salesforce's CRM.
